Being Creative from Within
I am offering a variety of felting classes where you can learn new skills or improve your felting skills.
I offer one to two day classes up to 5 students.
They are held in my studio, conveniently located in Ganges at 127 Rainbow Road, Salt Spring Island.
I am a professional feltmaker and educator and support every student, whether you are new to feltmaking or have experience, and will guide you through with your creations from idea to finished felted project.
Nuno Felted Neckwear
Two Day Class
This is a fun and creative class where I introduce you to basic nuno felting techniques and layouts in silk and fine merino wool.
You will gain hands-on experience by creating a very unique scarf accessory from start to finish.
Double Faced Nuno Felted Shawls
Two Day Class
This is a comprehensive introduction into layered and sandwiched felting techniques.
You will work with two different layers of transparent silk fabric in either separate one-length pieces or collage-style. Then, by manipulating the fabric and encasing them with a fine layer of of merino wool, we'll create captivating felted fabrics with unusual textural surfaces.
